Future Plans

I will be attending graduate school to become a speech pathologist.

Why Research?

I wanted experience in my field, and work with a professor who has done a variety of research. It gave me an opportunity to view my future career.

What Did I Get from Research?

I got practical knowledge how my field works. I got to see and examine other research. I got the opportunity to learn things I would not have learned in a normal classroom setting

How Did I Start?

My mentor asked my advisor for some top students in the field. My mentor then emailed me and I got the research.

Advice for Another Student

I think it is a great program. The research will give you a better idea of what your major is actually like.  You learn a lot that you do not get in the classroom.

Project Description

We are looking at the gender differences of speech. What classifies genders, and how you know it is a female or male that is talking to someone. We will be looking at tone, and analyzing the different voice patterns of men and women.
