I work in a Biotechnology lab that performs invasive species research. I am considering graduate school. I also enjoy hunting and fishing.
I am thinking of going to graduate school for either applied plant sciences or plant pathology.
I wanted to do a project working on invasive species. My current employer had started working on invasive species, and the materials were ready to do the project. So I started the project.
Hoping to provide information for biological control agent for invasive tansy.
I worked for my mentor, and we decided to write up a UROP.
It's good experiences. It teaches you more about what you are interested in. Network yourself and get to know more people in your field of interest.
Use molecular markers to see how native populations of tansy and invasive populations of tansy are related. This will provide data that will show how the natives are different from the invasive and how you can control the invasive based on that information.
