Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP)

Proposals for UROP projects for Spring 2013 will be due October 8, 2012. Submissions for summer and fall 2012 have been closed. Notification for summer and fall projects will occur 6-8 weeks after the deadline.

You can use the Student Employment link at left to search for paid student research positions. Select "Part-Time" and "Student On-Campus" and try keywords such as "research" and "lab".

Presentation Opportunities

For undergraduates working in the social sciences, humanities and fine arts, present your research at the KIAS conference at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. The conference is August 16-18, 2012 and the deadline for abstract submission is March 19 at noon. For more information, go here.

The 79th Annual Meeting and Winchell Undergraduate Research Symposium (Minnesota Academy of Sciences) will be held Saturday, April 21 at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. Deadline for submission of abstracts is March 30, 2012. For more information, go here.

UROP and International Research

The International UROP Scholarship is now available for fall 2012 and academic year international research projects. This is for students participating in selected study abroad semester and academic year programs through the Learning Abroad Center. Deadline is May 1, 2012.
